Chip and Joanna Gaines Attempt To Normalize Homosexual Couples in "Back to the Frontier"

With feature films like "Brokeback Mountain" directed by the Taiwanese born, Ang Lee, set in the days of the American Wild West, popular culture has seized upon that epoch in American history to infuse normalizing homosexuality in the popular American consciousness. And the latest installment in that motif is the reality show, "Back to the Frontier". A show that features families who live like American pioneer families did in the 1880s.

What makes "Back to the Frontier" a big surprise for conservative evangelicals is that the reality show is produced by Chip and Joanna Gaines and featured on their Magnolia Network that they co-founded with Warner Brothers. A home building pair that star on the television show "Fixer Upper" and have become popular among evangelicals for their membership in the Antioch Community Church. A Church in Texas that has been criticized in the past for its "anti-gay" views. Yet, now Chip and Joanna Gaines have not only broken from their previous support of their Church's views, but are actively promoting a homosexual "family" on "Back to the Frontier", which has been dubbed the "Gay Little House On The Prairie". Since it features two men and their two sons who were born via a surrogate.

Joanna Gaines was born in Wichita, Kansas to a Korean mother who met her father while he was stationed in Seoul, South Korea. And Chip Gaines was born in New Mexico. Yet, Chip moved to Texas as a little boy and graduated from Baylor University. Hence, the Gaines' adoption of the Southern "Magnolia" theme for both their books, magazine, and television network. No explanation has been given for their break from their conservative evangelical following. However, the American Family Association via the group, One Million Moms, is asking people to sign their pledge not to watch or support "Back to the Frontier" due its promotion of the same-sex couple. Those who are interested in signing their pledge can do so here: https://onemillionmoms.com/current-campaigns/stay-away-from-reality-show-back-to-the-frontier/
