Alabama signs Moody wide receiver Aubrey Walker

January 23, 2026 – MOODY – The University of Alabama has signed standout Moody high school Aubrey Walker in the 2026 draft class.

Moody High School won the 5A state championship and Walker played a key role in Moody's dominance over the last two seasons.

Walker runs a 4.3 second 40-yard dash.

He averaged 16.9 yards a catch in 2025. He had 29 catches for 490 yards and 6 touchdowns in a balanced Moody offensive attack. He also had a rushing touchdown.

He is 5'10" and 165 pounds.

He also played some defensive back for the Blue Devils.

Walker was a big‑play threat that performed at his best in the playoffs.

He is listed as a three‑star WR in the 2026 class. 247Sports rates him as the number 275 wide receiver nationally and number 1,927 overall.

Walker's speed could give him a chance to compete for early playing times as a special‑teams player and situational offensive snaps.

Walker could be a key contributor in an Alabama wide receiver room that suffered six key defections at the receiver spot through the transfer portal.

Standout wide receiver Isiah Horton left for Texas A&M. Bubba Hampton and Aeryn Hampton both went to Oregon State. Former five‑star athlete‑turned‑receiver Jaylen Mbakwe went to Georgia Tech. Jalen Hale headed west to SMU. Slot receiver Cole Adams portalled out to Vanderbilt.

Walker gives Alabama nine receivers on scholarship led by Ryan Williams, Lotzeir Brooks, Rico Scott, and Derek Meadows. Coach Kalen DeBoer added Walker, Noah Rogers – a transfer from North Carolina State, 4-star Cederian Morgan, and Maurice "MJ" Mathis Jr. – who flipped his commitment from Samford. DeBoer also awarded a scholarship to former walk-on MJ Chirgwin.
