Senior Fishing Rodeo

*Seniors, mark your calendars for Tuesday, September 13th, for our Senior Fishing Rodeo! All senior citizens, 55 years young and up, are invited to fish at the Montgomery County ponds located seven miles from the Southern Boulevard on Highway 231 South, across from Meriwether Road and Sweet Creek Farm Market. There will be portable bathrooms on premise and the ponds are handicap accessible.

There will be deputies at the road with emergency lights displayed so you can’t miss it…JUST LOOK FOR THE FLASHING BLUE LIGHTS!

Please plan to be there between 5:30 & 6:00am to get started fishing before the heat gets too unbearable. We will fish, if weather permits, until 12:00 Noon. Please do not bring children to this event as we have a Kids Fishing Rodeo annually in June for our youth to attend.

We will provide snacks and drinks….you provide the bait and tackle and whatever you catch is yours to keep!

U. S. Army PAYS Program

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and U. S. Army PAYS Program came together on Friday, August 19th, for a signing ceremony that initiated a bond between the two in which retired personnel or those ending their tour of duty with the Army are guaranteed a job interview with the Sheriff’s Office once they apply. This is sure to be a great opportunity for the Sheriff’s Office to work with our veterans insuring that they will be given an opportunity to extend their careers. The Sheriff’s Office is excited to be a part of this opportunity and several dignitaries came out to the ceremony including U. S. Representative Martha Roby, local officials and military dignitaries.

Camp Show-n-Tell

Camp Show-n-Tell was a huge success again!

Each year we take 100 boys and girls for a free, week long camp to promote positive interaction and life rewarding skills with our youth (ages 9-11) who have succeeded during the school year. This year was no exception! If you were not able to attend camp this year, please mark your calendar for April 1, 2017, which is when applications are available.

Thank you YMCA Camp Chandler for another wonderful camp year!

Thank you for your continued support of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office!
