"Make an Eternal Difference"

After prayerful consideration, my husband, Brian, and I recently signed up to host a Summer Small Group through our church. For those of you in our generation and older, you may know this better as a Bible Study. However, no mater what you may call it, it’s a great time for folks to get together in a more intimate group setting, in this case our home, and learn more about Jesus and His plan for our lives.
“ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:36-40
Let’s face it folks…at times, life is hard. The challenges, struggles, and stresses can become overwhelming. Brian and I believe now more than ever that God is calling us, as He has many of you, to connect with others in a life-giving, meaningful way. After all, God created all of us to live in relationship with others. Perhaps. only then can we truly live the full life He intends for us.
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe…” Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.
Mark 16:15-17, 20
We pray that people’s lives will be changed in the days, weeks, months, and years ahead by moving one step closer to Christ…..from learning the essentials of our faith to discovering and fulfilling our God-given purpose. May we all live life as a fully-devoted follower of Christ and to make an eternal difference!
