Marjorie Taylor Greene barnstorms south Alabama to support Barry Moore

Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) and Alabama native and the executive producer of "2,000 Mules" Gregg Phillips both were in South Alabama on Saturday to campaign for joined Congressman Barry Moore (R-Enterprise). The trio held four campaign events across the new First Congressional District of Alabama. They held rallies in Satsuma, Stockton, Opp and Enterprise.

Rep. Moore and Rep. Jerry Carl (R-Mobile) were both redistricted into CD1 by a federal court in Atlanta. federal court in Atlanta. Carl has the endorsement of the Business Council of Alabama and most of the powerful Montgomery trade associations as well as many of the GOP establishment politicians. Carl has used his fundraising advantage to fund numerous attacks ads against Moore.

"Don't believe the lies these Never Trump Swamp Creatures are spreading about my dear friend and true conservative, Barry Moore," said Greene. "I came into Congress the same time that Barry did and can promise you that no one has been more loyal to President Trump than Barry Moore. He has worked hard to secure our border, hold the Biden administration accountable, and fight the Uniparty's runaway spending that has our nation careening towards bankruptcy. And like me he has voted against every supplemental package that would send your tax dollars to Ukraine."

'Jerry Carl is Trump's guy in Washington? That is the biggest, blatant, outright lie I have ever heard in my life," Greene said. "I can tell you for a fact that the only man in this race that I've been to Mar A Lago with is Barry Moore! And you know who is sending that money to put those ads on television? Nikki Haley's Democrat billionaire supporter, Ken Griffin. Shame on Jerry Carl for approving a message of lies about Barry Moore funded by billionaire Democrat Ken Griffin, Barry Moore is President Trump's man in Washington and has been from the very beginning. His entire family has and he has never wavered."

"Jerry Carl has voted to fund the war in Ukraine, not Barry Moore," Greene said. "The COVID-19 vaccine database, Jerry Carl voted for that. Barry Moore did not. We don't need representatives in Washington that vote to put Americans on a list. We have a weaponized government. We don't belong on lists. Let's talk about one that is really terrifying - 87.000 armed IRS agents. Jerry Carl voted for that. Barry Moore voted against it. Jerry Carl voted for red flag laws for Veterans. Barry Moore voted against red flag laws for Veterans and stands against taking away gun rights from our Veterans. Jerry Carl voted to draft our daughters. Barry Moore will not send your daughters to war."

Phillips echoed Greene's sentiments.

"There is a reason Barry Moore and this new district have been targeted by Never Trumpers like Ken Griffin," said Phillips. "This district has been targeted because it's one of the top conservative districts in America, and Barry Moore has been targeted because he's one of the top conservative representatives in the House."

As soon as this primary is over, Carl and Moore will be back in D.C. to avert yet another government shutdown. It is suggested that instead of passing the budgets – something Congress should have done by Sept. 30 of last year it has been suggested that Congress simply pass another continuing resolution (C.R.) to keep the government funded.

"We should be funding Trump's wall, defunding the invasion," Moore said recently. "

On Thursday, Moore opposed H.R.7463, another continuing resolution that prolongs the current historically high spending levels set by Biden and former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-California) that has led to the 17.9% inflation rate as government is borrowing more than it brings in to spur the economy even though the nation has been at full employment since the early part of the Trump administration.

Thursday's legislation provided no funding for President Trump's border wall. At least 600,000 illegal alien criminals and 300 who are named on the terrorist watchlist have entered through our open southern border under Biden.

Congressman Moore signed the Immigration Accountability Project pledge to oppose all government funding until action is taken to secure our southern border.

"Instead of kicking the can down the road once again, the number one priority of Congress should be funding Trump's wall and defunding the invasion at our border," said Moore. "In just the last week, we've seen countless stories across the country about heinous crimes committed by illegals. We need to pass legislation that funds the wall and defunds Biden's backdoor contributions to organizations to send illegals to a city near you. It shouldn't take more tragedies for the border to become our priority."

Negotiators between the Republican controlled House and the Democratic controlled Senate are attempting to draft compromise legislation that will keep the government funded until the end of September. That goal has proven elusive over the last six months.

CD1 voters go to the polls on Tuesday to decide between Moore and Carl. Bring a valid photo ID to the polls and vote in your assigned polling place. Polls will not open until 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday and will close at 7:00 p.m. that evening.

Whoever wins on Tuesday will still have to face Democratic nominee Tom Holmes in the November 5 general election.
