"We really stung some balls," said head coach Butch Thompson. "They just hung in there and it finally happened with some big swings for us."

The out of conference loss drops UAB to 12 and 16.

Auburn faces Number 4 Tennessee (24-5, 5-4 SEC) in Auburn on Friday through Sunday at Plainsman Park.

Saturday is A-Day for the Auburn football team as they conclude their spring practice season with an Auburn v. Auburn game. This means that the Auburn campus should be full of Auburn fans over this three-day baseball home stretch.

"We're excited about A-Day weekend," said Coach Thompson. "It's going to be awesome to be home this weekend and next week."
