May 14, 2025 - CULLMAN, AL - Republican voters in portions of Cullman and Blount Counties went to the polls today for the Special Primary Election in Alabama House District 11. They elected Heath Albright as the GOP nominee in HD11.
"Thank you, District 11!" Albright said on his Facebook account. "I am deeply honored by the trust voters in District 11 have placed in me. I'm ready to fight for our families, schools, and businesses, ensuring our community thrives while preserving the values that make Blount and Cullman Counties home.
The Republican candidates in the race were Heath Allbright and Don Fallin. According to the unofficial results - Heath Allbright received 1909 votes (54.26%). Don Fallin received 1609 votes, (45.74%).
Heath Allbright has secured the Republican nomination and will advance to the Special General Election on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, when he will face Democrat Alex Brasswell.
Heath Allbright is a lifelong resident of Holly Pond, Alabama in Cullman County. Heath has served two terms on the Cullman County Board of Education where he has worked to bring quality education to students in Cullman County Schools. Heath and his wife, BreAnn, have been married for 18 years and are the proud parents of two children. Heath is the owner of Brighton Forestry Services, a timber harvesting and reforestation company based in Holly Pond, AL, servicing North Alabama and Eastern Mississippi.
Alabama Republican Party Chairman John Wahl released the following statement:

We're grateful to both candidates for stepping forward to serve, and to the voters who participated in this important election. With so much at stake in our state, it's critical that we continue to elect leaders who will stand for conservative values and fight for the people of Alabama. I look forward to supporting Heath Allbright as we head toward the general election in August."
This seat became vacant earlier this year when former State Representative Randall Shedd joined the staff of Senate President Pro Tem Garlan Gudger.
