Alabama Congressmen recommit to Pro-Life issues on the Anniversary of the United States Supreme Court's Decision on Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization

June 24, 2025 - WASHINGTON, D.C.- This is the anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court decision overturning the controversial 1973 Roe versus Wade decision that created an abortion right in the U.S. Constitution - where none had ever existed before.

Congressman Robert Aderholt released a statement on the anniversary of the United States Supreme Court's decision on Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization:

"Today marks the third anniversary of the United States Supreme Court's decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization," said Congressman Aderholt. "The Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade was a landmark in the effort to protect the most vulnerable among us and guarantee their right to life and liberty. However, the decision simply returned the responsibility of protecting the unborn to elected officials, and each state has since governed independently on the issue. The fight for life continues in many parts of the country."

Congressman Gary Palmer (R-AL06) said, "Three years ago today, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of life by putting an end to Roe v. Wade with the Dobbs decision. While countless unborn lives have been saved, there is still work to be done. I will continue to work to protect the lives of the unborn!"

"I've said this before, and I'll say it again: I am pro-life, pro-family, and pro-child. As Chairman of the House Values Action Team, I remain committed to fighting and advocating in Congress to expand our efforts and ensure a safe future for our nation's children-born and unborn," said Aderholt. "Since then, I have introduced the Protect Funding for Women's Health Care Act in the House of Representatives to continue standing for life by ensuring that federal tax dollars are never used to fund organizations such as Planned Parenthood and others like it."

"I pray for our nation and for lawmakers across the country to continue the fight to protect the lives of the unborn," said Aderholt. "Congress still has work to be done to protect life."

Rep. Barry Moore (R-AL01) said on his X social media account, "Today is the third anniversary of the Supreme Court's life-saving Dobbs decision which put an end to Roe v. Wade. remain committed to always fighting for the sanctity of life and protecting the unborn!"

Once the Dobbs decision was passed all of the preborn citizens of the state were protected by the Alabama Constitution. There are still groups operating in the state who conspire to smuggle women across the state border to states that do not protect the unborn. Many pharmacies in Alabama still sell chemicals that are used to kill unborn children.

The Christian group - Let Us Worship has declared June Life Month in honor of the anniversary of the Dobbs decision.

"Sinister forces have hijacked June for evil purposes—but while the world celebrates Pride Month, we’re proclaiming it Life Month! Beginning June 1st on the Boston Common, Let Us Worship is holding a revival of praise, worship, and spiritual renewal," Let Us Worship said in a statement.
