July 2, 2025 - MONTGOMERY, AL - Katherine Robertson, a newcomer to the statewide political arena, has made an immediate impact with a remarkable fundraising debut in her campaign for Alabama Attorney General. In a show of momentum uncommon for first-time candidates, Robertson's campaign has reported over $1.25 million raised during the month of June alone.
Launching her campaign just three weeks prior, Robertson entered the race with no carryover from previous campaigns, beginning with a zero balance. Her swift rise has been bolstered by enthusiastic support from hundreds of backers who gathered in Birmingham at her campaign kickoff, including prominent figures such as current Attorney General Steve Marshall.
The ambitious fundraising effort highlights widespread enthusiasm for Robertson's candidacy, drawing in supporters both from within Alabama and across state lines. Observers note that this groundswell of financial and grassroots support underscores not only her longstanding reputation in law enforcement circles but also her growing influence within the broader conservative legal movement.
"It is heartening to have earned the confidence of so many individuals who care deeply about what we do," said Katherine Robertson. "Working in the AG's Office is a true honor. I see this early support as affirmation of all that we have accomplished over the last eight-and-a-half years to make our state safer and our country freer. With a great team behind me, I am ready to carry this early momentum all the way to the finish line next year."
Robertson faces a crowded Republican Primary race that includes: Blount County District Attorney Pam Casey and former State Supreme Court Justice Jay Mitchell.
