Surge in Attendance Prompts Venue Change for Aderholt's Vietnam Veteran Pinning Ceremony in the Shoals

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Due to an overwhelming response from veterans and their families, Congressman Robert Aderholt (R-AL) has announced a venue change for the upcoming Vietnam Veteran Pinning Ceremony in the Shoals region. Originally scheduled to take place in Tuscumbia, the event will now be held at the University of North Alabama's Guillot University Center in Florence to accommodate the growing number of attendees.

With more than 200 veterans and guests already confirmed, the ceremony is expected to be one of the largest commemorative events hosted by Aderholt's office in recent years. The new venue offers expanded seating and improved accessibility for participants.

"Because of the incredible response we've received, we needed a larger space to properly recognize these heroes in a respectful and comfortable setting," said Congressman Aderholt. "We are deeply grateful for their service, and I look forward to seeing so many veterans and their loved ones in Florence."

Honoring Vietnam-Era Veterans

Both ceremonies are part of Aderholt's ongoing initiative to honor Vietnam-era veterans with official commemorative lapel pins, recognizing their service and sacrifice during one of the most challenging periods in American military history. The events are open to the public, and family members are encouraged to attend.

Veterans who have not yet registered are encouraged to call 256-546-0201 or visit Congressman Aderholt's official registration page for more information.
