Assassin targets ICE in Dallas

September 24, 2025 – DALLAS, TX. – A sniper attacked an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas Wednesday. The attack that killed one person and wounded two others. The gunman was found at the scene with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

This senseless attack on law enforcement officers comes just two weeks after conservative political philosopher Charlie Kirk was gunned down by another leftist assassin at a college campus in Utah.

President Donald J. Trump (R) blamed Democratic Party politicians for demonizing ICE officers.

President Trump said on Truth Social, "I have been briefed on the deadly shooting at the ICE Field Office in Dallas, Texas. It has now been revealed the deranged shooter wrote "Anti-ICE" on his shell casings. This is despicable! The Brave Men and Women of ICE are just trying to do their jobs, and remove the "WORST of the WORST" Criminals out of our Country, but they are facing an unprecedented increase in threats, violence, and attacks by Deranged Radical Leftists. This violence is the result of the Radical Left Democrats constantly demonizing Law Enforcement, calling for ICE to be demolished, and comparing ICE Officers to "Nazis." The continuing violence from Radical Left Terrorists, in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's assassination, must be stopped. ICE Officers, and other Brave Members of Law Enforcement, are under grave threat. We have already declared ANTIFA a Terrorist Organization, and I will be signing an Executive Order this week to dismantle these Domestic Terrorism Networks. I AM CALLING ON ALL DEMOCRATS TO STOP THIS RHETORIC AGAINST ICE AND AMERICA'S LAW ENFORCEMENT, RIGHT NOW! The Trump Administration is fully committed to backing Law Enforcement, Strong Borders, securing our Homeland, deporting Violent Illegal Criminals, and fully rooting out the Left Wing Domestic Terrorism that is terrorizing our Country. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

Vice President J.D. Vance said, "We know this person was politically motivated." "They were politically motivated to go after law enforcement. They were politically motivated to go after people who are enforcing our border."

None of the three victims who were shot were ICE agents. Instead the victims were all detainees at the facility – the vast majority of people at an ICE detention facility are detainees. The two wounded detainees were taken to the hospital where they are in critical condition.

FBI Director Kash Patel said that law enforcement officers found an unused bullet casing with the message "ANTI-ICE" written on it.

The suspected assassin has been identified as 29-year-old Joshua Jahn.

The gunman opened up on the ICE facility firing indiscriminately hitting the three unfortunate detainees in the assault.

Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Alabama) said on X, "Praying for the victims involved in this attack and their families. The Radical Left must STOP the demonization of our law enforcement, specifically ICE and Border Patrol."

Congressman Barry Moore (R-AL01) said, "The media and Democrats continue to spew reckless lies against the brave men and women who serve our nation with @ICEgov and those lies lead to incidents like this. It's past time that we stop the lies and support our federal law enforcement as they make America safer."

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall (R) shared a post on X, "The men and women of ICE are fathers and mothers, sons and daughters. They get up every morning to try and make our communities safer. The violence and dehumanization of these men and women who are simply enforcing the law must stop. I stand with ICE."

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said that it will "immediately" increase security at ICE facilities across the country in response to the politically motivated terrorist attack.
