Auburn College Republicans to Host "Challenge the Chairman" Event with ALGOP Leader John Wahl

AUBURN, Ala. - October 10, 2025 - The College Republicans at Auburn University (AUCR) have announced a unique opportunity for students to engage directly with Alabama Republican Party Chairman John Wahl during a campus event titled "Challenge the Chairman." Scheduled for Wednesday, October 29, 2025, the event will take place from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Cater Lawn at Auburn University.

The interactive forum is designed to foster open dialogue between students and the state party's top official. Attendees will be encouraged to ask questions, share concerns, and offer feedback on the Republican Party's platform and priorities heading into 2026.

A Platform for Dialogue and Debate

According to AUCR organizers, the event is not limited to Republican supporters. In a spirit of bipartisan engagement, the group is formally inviting the College Democrats and encouraging students of all political backgrounds to participate.

"Challenge the Chairman will be an event for those who both agree and disagree with Chairman Wahl," the group stated. "We especially encourage dissenters to come out and engage in respectful debate."

The goal, organizers say, is to promote civic engagement and give young Alabamians a chance to voice their perspectives on state and national issues directly to party leadership.

Listening to the Next Generation

Chairman Wahl is expected to use the event as an opportunity to hear from college students about the issues that matter most to them-from education and economic development to civil liberties and state governance.

"We hope that providing students with this exciting experience will encourage the exchange of ideas and offer a better understanding of the Republican Party's platform in 2025," AUCR stated.

The event is free and open to all Auburn students. For more information, students are encouraged to contact the College Republicans at Auburn University.
