"Be Grateful"

Year after year, the earth’s inhabitants are fed, watered, clothed, and sheltered. Generations come and go, nations rise and fall, yet God continues to live and keep this old world turning and the sun shining day after day.

James 1:17 reminds us, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father, with whom is no variableness neither shadow of turning.”

This Thanksgiving season, let’s recognize the God from whom ALL blessings flow…either directly or indirectly. Let us offer Him the praise of our lips, the love of our hearts, and the consecration of our lives. “My cup runneth over” - Psalms 23:5

Such gratitude can deepen character and spark personality. One of the prerequisites to being an optimist is to have grateful memory. Yet, how often we forget!....And how devastating it is to personality and outlook on life! The person who constantly complains that nothing goes right and the world is against him/her, invariably has a good “forgettery” rather than a good memory. On the other hand, the optimist sees his/her blessings and counts them with appreciation. The optimist focuses on the positives of life.

Psalms 92:1 tells us, “It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord.”

Happy Thanksgiving and Many Blessings!
