The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office would like to recognize one of our own, Corporal Jodie Woodfin, as an outstanding Investigator with our agency

From the beginning of his tenure in Investigations, Corporal Woodfin has exceeded many of the expectations of a new Investigator. His work ethic and desire to help others has proven him to be a vital asset to our agency. In addition to solving numerous property crimes, Corporal. Woodfin has also worked directly and indirectly on several cases involving Persons Crimes, to include; crimes against children, assaults and narcotics.

On the afternoon of October 10, 2014, Corporal Woodfin passed the Montgomery County Courthouse and noticed a vehicle that was wanted in connection with several vehicle burglaries in the Bridle Brook community. After seeing the vehicle was unoccupied, Corporal Woodfin maintained a visual until the assigned Case Agent and fellow Investigators could arrive on the scene and locate the driver. Corporal Woodfin's keen observation and attention to detail, led not only to an arrest, but the recovery of stolen property and a potential lead into a narcotics investigation. This act in and of itself might sound routine; however, it should be noted that Cpl. Woodfin was headed to conduct one of three search warrants in his own cases, one of which led to an additional arrest and recovered property that same day.

Since June of 2014, Cpl. Woodfin has been assigned approximately 35 cases and has cleared 22 by arrest. Through Corporal Woodfin's investigation, the recovery of over $100,000.00 can be attributed to his attention to detail. His hard work has led to the recovery of property stolen in several jurisdictions and cleared one of our largest burglaries in 2013.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, April 4th 4:00-6:00pm.

We gather on the grounds of Auburn Montgomery (AUM) on Senators Drive in the North Parking Lots (next to the AUM soccer fields) for the Egg Hunt. Spring is just around the corner and with that comes our Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Each year we host this event for our youth at Auburn Montgomery (AUM) for all kids between the ages of 1-11 years old.

Giving back to the community is what it's all about and Easter being a special time of the year, is no exception to the rule. Please plan to attend this event with your child and make this Easter a special family time together!
