Alabama defeats Charleston plays Grand Canyon next

The University Alabama men's basketball team will play Grand Canyon University on Sunday at 6:10 p.m. at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena in Washington.

Alabama is the number 4 seed in the bracket, while Grand Canyon is the number 12. The game will be televised on TBS.

Alabama defeated the College of Charleston on Friday 109 to 96.

The Tide is now 22 and 11 on the year.

Mark Sears was the leading scorer for Alabama with 30 points. Sears also had 4 rebounds. Latrell Wrightsell Jr. scored 17 points. Aaron Estrada had 13 points and 7 rebounds.

Alabama is coached by Nate Oats.

"I think our athleticism in some areas overwhelmed them and they couldn't stay in front of us on the defensive end," said Coach Oats. "I thought once we started to get some stops and rebounds, we were able to open it up a little bit."

109 points is the most points that Alabama has ever scored in a NCAA tournament game.
