Vaccine injured Alabamians ask Steve Marshall to join COVID vaccine lawsuit

September 6, 2024 - Montgomery - 3,193,141 Alabamians, (65% of the state's population) have received at least one dose of one of the COVID-19 vaccines. Around 2,611,593 people (53% of the population of the state), have received both the initial vaccine and their follow-up annual boosters of the vaccine – thus are considered "fully vaccinated."

Some of those Alabamians have, or claim to have had, adverse reactions to the vaccine. These so-called vaccine injuries include: bell's palsy, myocarditis, a tendency to blood clot, infertility, cognitive impairment, miscarriage, muscular sclerosis, an increase in incidents of some cancers, and even in extreme cases strokes and sudden death. Some of those Alabamians claiming vaccine injuries want to file a class action lawsuit against Pfizer and/or other pharmaceutical giants who made $billions rushing the vaccine's development with minimal testing, and with some of these side effects already known to the companies.

There are however some legal barriers that were put up to protect the pharmaceutical companies during "Operation Warp Speed" that shields the pharmaceutical companies from legal liability.

Some of those vaccine injured Alabamians are asking for Attorney General Steve Marshall (R) for assistance.

Dawn Ross is one of those Alabamians. She recently sent a letter to Marshall asking for his assistance. Ross has suffered from micro blood clots since receiving the vaccine and attributes her health issues to a vaccine injury.

"I and a small group of vaccine-injured Alabamians would like to meet with you about the possibility of Alabama pursuing legal action against Pfizer Pharmaceuticals," said Ms. Ross. "Several other State Attorneys General, including Kansas, Texas, Utah, Mississippi and Louisiana are already pursuing similar actions."

There is some evidence showing that side effects were uncovered during the short human trials for the vaccine; but that that evidence was covered up and not made public, before the rollout of the vaccine in late November of 2020 – just nine months after COVID-19 became a national crisis.

"Pfizer actively concealed data about their vaccine's lack of safety and efficacy.," Ross claimed in her letter to Marshall. "The "safe and effective" vaccines have proven to be neither, despite Pfizer's marketing claims. Myocarditis, pericarditis, neurological conditions including Guillain-Barre syndrome and Bell's palsy, clotting-related illnesses such as stroke and heart attacks, dysautonomia, infertility and spontaneous abortions, increased rates of cancers and "died suddenly"-all have been linked to the vaccines."

"We hope that you will add Alabama to the list of States taking action to secure justice for those Alabamians who have been injured by Pfizer's actions, and to prevent injury and illness to other Alabama citizens. We will be happy to meet with you at your convenience."

A spokesman for the AG’s office told the Alabama Gazette that they are considering the request for a meeting and are reviewing the litigation.
