Georgia underwhelms in week three

The Alabama Gazette panel correctly picked that Georgia would defeat Kentucky; but most of us thought that Georgia would win it by four touchdowns. The hard fought defensive contest that they actually played in the third week of the SEC season was entirely unanticipated by most of the staff. The staff was divided on the LSU versus South Carolina game and we were correct in that game could have gone either way. Most of the panel failed to predict Toledo's dominance over Mississippi State.

More Southeastern Conference Teams are beginning conference play including Auburn – who made a quarterback change in week three – replacing Senior QB Payton Thorne with Freshman Hank Brown appears to have worked well for the Tigers.

ing the SEC games each week of the college football season.

In week 2:

LSU narrowly beat South Carolina.

Alabama crushed an outmatched Wisconsin.

Boston College lost at Missouri.

Texas A&M beat Florida – it is still September and it appears that Coach Billy Napier's tenure at Florida is coming to a close.

UAB fell to Arkansas.

Tulane lost at Oklahoma.

Ole Miss defeated Wake Forest.

UTSA was destroyed by Texas.

Vanderbilt lost at Georgia State.

Georgia narrowly got out with the win at Kentucky.

Toledo went to Mississippi State and completely dominated.

New Mexico lost at Auburn.

Kent State lost at Tennessee.

The Gazette panel are: Brandon Moseley, Luisa Reyes, Perry O Hooper Jr., Christopher Peeks, Sam Adams, and Harry Still III.

Brandon correctly picked LSU over South Carolina, Alabama over Wisconsin, Missouri over Boston College, Texas A&M over Florida, Arkansas over UAB, Oklahoma over Tulane, Ole Miss over Wake Forest, Texas over UTSA, Georgia over Kentucky, Auburn over New Mexico, and Tennessee over Kent State. Brandon failed to pick Vanderbilt losing to Georgia State and Mississippi State being totally outclassed by Toledo. Brandon went 11 and 2 on the week. Brandon is 38 and 6 on the season.

Perry missed by picking South Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Mississippi State. He correctly picked Texas A&M, Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Georgia, Auburn, and Tennessee. Perry went 10 and 3 on the week. Perry is 35 and 9 on the season.

Luisa picked South Carolina, Alabama, Missouri, Texas A & M, Arkansas, Oklahoma , Ole Miss, Texas, Vanderbilt, Georgia, Mississippi State, Auburn, and Tennessee. Luisa finished 10 and 3 on the week. Luisa is 35 and 9 on the season.

Sam picked LSU, Alabama, Missouri, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Texas, Vanderbilt, Georgia, Mississippi State, Auburn, and Tennessee. Sam finished 11 and 2 on the week and 18 and 5 overall.

Christopher picked LSU, Alabama, Missouri, Florida, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Texas, Georgia State, Georgia, Toledo, New Mexico, and Tennessee. Christopher finished in first for the week at 11 and 1. The one game he missed was Auburn, but that pick was made well before Coach Hugh Freeze made the quarterback change. Christopher is 38 and 6 on the season.

Harry picked LSU, Alabama, Missouri, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Texas, Vanderbilt, Georgia, Mississippi State, Auburn, and Tennessee. Harry finished 10 and 2 on the week. He is 23 and 4 on the season.
