"I Heard The Bells" Now On Pure Flix

Based on actual historical events, "I Heard The Bells" is an excellent movie about Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's inspiration to write the poem that would become the Classic Christmas Carol, "I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day". An independent production, the very well done feature film was released in movie theaters across the USA in December of 2022, making it the first ever theatrical release of a feature film production for the "Sight & Sound" ministries. A ministry that focuses on faith based entertainment for the whole family. And for those who did not make it to the movie theater to see "I Heard The Bells" or who did get to see it and have longed to see it again, the film is now available for streaming on Pure Flix as part of their "Great American Christmas" selection. Pure Flix is a media subscription streaming service owned by Great American Media and Sony Pictures that is known for its streaming of the "God's Not Dead" series.

Featuring Stephen Atherholt in the role of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, "I Heard The Bells" focuses on his loving marriage with the beautiful Fanny Appleton, as portrayed by Rachel Day Hughes. And how Longfellow espouses freeing those who are held in involuntary servitude in the times leading up to The War Between The States. But, Longfellow soon learns that his inspiring verse is not merely idle poetry when his son joins up to fight during The War Between The States and is severely wounded in the process. With the biggest test to his faith and pen coming when a tragedy strikes his beloved Fanny Appleton.

Known for his poems such as "The Song of Hiawatha" and "Paul Revere's Ride" in which he immortalizes the midnight ride of Paul Revere in the days leading up to The American Revolution, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem that became "I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day" made it one of the first Christmas Carols of American origin. As, previously, most of the Christmas Carols were imported from Europe.

"I Heard The Bells" runs an hour and fifty minutes in length and is rated PG. While Hallmark Christmas movies are popular for getting people in the spirit of Christmas, "I Heard The Bells" is both an inspiring and informative film that will lead people to feel the blessings of Christmas in a substantive manner. It is available for streaming for free on Pure Flix here: I Heard the Bells
