Herbie is the Pet of the Week

June 16, 2025 - WETUMPKA, AL - Herbie is a 1 ½-year old male, 55 lbs. He came to the shelter as a stray and was never reclaimed. Herbie is a higher energy boy, loves to romp and play. He is very loving and will demand attention from you. Good with other dogs, walks well on a leash and takes treats gently.

The Elmore County Humane Society adoption fees are only $100 for dogs and just $50 for cats under one-year-old. Cats over one-year-old can be adopted by approved adopters for a fee of their choosing. This adoption fee completely covers the mandatory spay or neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, free health exam with your participating veterinarian.
