You ever seen an apple tree eat apples? Have you ever seen a fig tree eat a fig? I will answer that for you. No, you have not. Trees feed on water. The fruit that a tree produces is not for the tree. It's for whatever is passing by. Just like the gifts that the Lord has given to you are not for you. They are for other people. They are for the people passing by. Think about that for a minute.
John 21:17 tells us, “The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.”
When you sustain yourself on living water, our Lord Jesus Christ, you will produce amazing fruit. But that fruit is not for you. That fruit is to give other people to bring them closer to the presence of God. That's why you can give somebody a gift when you're going through your own depression. That's why you can give somebody a word that completely turns their life around when your own life is in shambles.
God's going to put people in your life that are going to feed you with their fruit. God will also put you in somebody else's life for you to feed with yours.
My friend, never refuse an obligation to feed somebody else with the fruit that you've produced. There's a lot of hungry people out there. Feed them.
Many Blessings!
