An Alabama native, Rodney Walker was born in Talladega on August 02nd, 1969. He is the president of Patriot Fueling Centers USA, a company that specializes in being a wholesale fuel supplier and is based out of Lineville, Alabama. The company boasts on its website that they feature 24/7 automated fueling as in today's busy lifestyle, "We don't want to have a lot of human interaction. We don't want to be treated rudely by a cashier who does not want to be at work." At present, Patriot Fueling Centers USA has fueling centers located in Lineville, Wetumpka, Alexander City, Montgomery, and Opp. Walker has served as president of Patriot Fueling Centers USA since March of 2019.
A family owned, diversified cow-calf operation located at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Walker Lands and Cattle LLC, has around 850 Black Angus and Brangus Cattle. Rodney Walker has been serving as president of Walker Lands and Cattle LLC since 1987. And the company boasts of offering the largest selection of Gooseneck Cattle Trailers in the USA. Walker has also served as president of Hatchett Creek Leasing, a commercial leasing company with clients such as Dollar General and the US Postal Service. Additionally, Walker has served as president of the Wedowee Quarry, a manufacturer of Granite rock aggregate products. Rodney Walker attended Auburn University and is married to Stacie Walker, the director of marketing for Patriot Fuels.
Rodney Walker previously ran for a seat in the Alabama House of Representatives in 2010 with the hopes of defeating the long-term incumbent for House District 37, Richard Laird. However, Walker was defeated by Laird in the Democratic primary. With Laird later switching his party affiliation to that of an independent.
With Senator Tuberville vacating his seat in the U.S. Senate to run for Governor of Alabama, the Republican primary on May 19th, 2026 marks an opportunity for candidates to vie for an open seat. With Attorney General Steve Marshall already declaring his candidacy for the Republican nomination along with Jared Hudson and Jeremy Spratling. It is expected that Representative Barry Moore of Alabama 1st congressional district will announce his candidacy for the U.S. Senate on Friday.
