The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) is calling on qualified organizations across the state to help shift social norms around tobacco use and protect young Alabamians from nicotine addiction and secondhand smoke exposure. Through a new grant initiative, ADPH aims to fund up to nine projects that promote healthier community environments and empower youth with knowledge and tools to resist tobacco industry influence.

• Supporting youth-focused cessation efforts and community mobilization
The initiative is part of ADPH's broader Youth Tobacco Prevention and Control Program, which includes resources like the "Text-to-Quit Vaping" service and the Alabama Tobacco Quitline.
