ABC of Alabama Endorses Attorney General Steve Marshall for U.S. Senate

September 12, 2025 - BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama endorsed Attorney General Steve Marshall for U.S. Senate today. At 2 p.m. today, ABC of Alabama and Attorney General Marshall will hold a press conference at 4701 Carmichael Rd., Montgomery, AL 36106.

ABC Chairman Tim Harrison said, "Attorney General Marshall stood strong for Alabama's commercial construction industry when it mattered most. By recognizing our workforce as

essential during the COVID-19 shutdowns, he helped keep our crews on the jobs, our families provided for, and our state's economy moving."

Marshall also secured a nationwide injunction halting Biden's federal-contractor vaccine mandate, defending workers and employers from what he argued was unlawful government

intrusion." Harrison continued, "He didn't cave to the pressure. He stood with Alabama's working families and we're proud to back him as he fights to take our Alabama values-like merit, hard work, and personal responsibility-to Washington."

"I'm proud to have the support of Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama in this race for U.S. Senate," said Marshall. "These are the men and women who wake up early, work with their hands, and build this country from the ground up. They don't rely on Washington-they just want the government to get out of their way."

Marshall has a proven track record of delivering results, including securing a major victory against President Biden's Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule, stopping federal attempts

to expand control over state and private lands.

He has also been a national leader in opposing ESG policies and fought for religious freedom for federal contractors. Most recently, Marshall moved to compel the EPA to rescind its

"environmental justice" initiatives, arguing they harm states and exceed the agency's authority.

Marshall said, "ABC's belief in hard work, free markets, and American-made opportunity is exactly what I'm fighting for. In the Senate, I'll stand with the folks who punch a clock and build this country-not the ones sitting in conference rooms making rules they'll never have to follow."

The association emphasized that Steve Marshall has consistently ensured Alabama businesses, particularly the commercial construction industry, remain protected and thriving. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he ensured that the entire nation recognized construction as an essential industry.

Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama represents the construction industry, which is integral to Alabama's economy. It creates 200,000 jobs and accounts for 5% of the state's economic output. ABC is committed to advocating on behalf of the industry and its workers.
