Over 50 Law Enforcement Leaders Across Alabama Endorse Pamela Casey for Attorney General

ONEONTA, AL. - September 25, 2025 - In a sweeping show of support, more than 50 law enforcement officials from across Alabama have endorsed Pamela Casey in her bid for Attorney General. Casey, who has served as Blount County's District Attorney since 2010, announced the endorsements during a press event in Oneonta, citing the trust and backing of prosecutors, police chiefs, investigators, and victim advocates statewide.

The coalition of supporters includes active and retired District Attorneys, Chiefs of Police, Special Agents, State Troopers, and leaders from victim advocacy organizations. Their endorsements reflect Casey's reputation as a tough, principled prosecutor with a long-standing commitment to victims' rights and public safety.

Law Enforcement Voices Rally Behind Casey

"Alabama has a choice to make, and I pray they choose the proven prosecutor who is ready to lead," said Walt Merrell, District Attorney of Covington County and Vice-President of the Alabama District Attorneys Association. "For the sake of victims, for the safety of our communities, and for the rule of law - Alabama needs Pamela Casey as our next Attorney General."

Jaye Loggins, former Chief of Police in Mountain Brook, praised Casey's understanding of frontline law enforcement challenges: "Pamela has proven she has the backbone to fight crime, defend victims, and uphold the rule of law."

Jimmy Baldwin, Chief of Police in Oneonta, added, "She has real experience prosecuting criminals and standing up for victims, despite political pressures. She has always had our backs."

Shelly Linderman, Director of Wiregrass Angel House, emphasized Casey's victim-first approach: "Justice is not about politics-it's about protecting people. Pamela Casey has always put victims first."

Casey Responds: "I Will Never Take Their Trust for Granted"

In response to the endorsements, Casey expressed gratitude and reaffirmed her commitment to law enforcement and Alabama families.

"I am humbled to receive the endorsement of these men and women," Casey said. "I know how hard they work and how much they sacrifice for our communities, and I greatly appreciate their trust. As Attorney General, I will continue to fight relentlessly for Alabama families, support the men and women of law enforcement, and uphold the Constitution without compromise."

A Proven Prosecutor with Statewide Support

Pamela Casey brings nearly two decades of prosecutorial experience to her campaign. She has been recognized as "District Attorney of the Year" and has led prosecutions in some of Alabama's most challenging cases, including capital murder, violent crime, and human trafficking.
