Tuberville Backs Legislation to Strengthen Worker Protections

October 8, 2025 - WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) has joined Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) in reintroducing the Employee Rights Act of 2025, a comprehensive bill aimed at reinforcing the rights of American workers while promoting transparency and accountability in the workplace.

The legislation outlines a Republican vision for workforce reform—one that emphasizes opportunity, privacy, and a regulatory environment conducive to innovation and economic growth.

“The Biden administration imposed crushing regulations that put American workers last and sent jobs overseas,” said Sen. Tuberville. “Thanks to President Trump, American jobs are coming back in droves. But we have to make sure we have a pro-business regulatory environment that will ensure accountability and empower workers to thrive.”

Senator Scott echoed the bill’s focus on fairness and empowerment:

“We must continue to empower Americans to work hard, earn a living, and provide for their families while creating a labor system that is fair, transparent, and responsive to the needs of today’s workforce,” said Sen. Scott. “I’m proud to lead legislation that provides workers with the necessary tools and protections to build a stronger, more prosperous workforce.”

The bill has garnered support from several Senate Republicans, including John Barrasso (WY), Kevin Cramer (ND), Mike Crapo (ID), John Hoeven (ND), Cindy Hyde-Smith (MS), and Jim Risch (ID). In the House, Congressman Rick Allen (R-GA-12) introduced companion legislation.

The Employee Rights Act of 2025 seeks to modernize labor laws and ensure that workers have a voice in workplace decisions, especially in union-related matters. Supporters argue that the bill will help restore balance between labor and management while safeguarding individual freedoms.
