Alabama Set to Host LSU in Prime-Time SEC Showdown

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama Crimson Tide will face off against the LSU Tigers on Saturday, November 8, in one of the most anticipated matchups of the 2025 college football season. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. Central at Bryant-Denny Stadium, with national coverage on ABC.

Alabama enters the game ranked No. 4 in the country, boasting a 7–1 overall record and a perfect 5–0 mark in SEC play. The Tide are riding a seven-game win streak and remain firmly in the hunt for a College Football Playoff berth. LSU, meanwhile, comes in at 5–3 overall and 3–2 in the conference, navigating a midseason coaching transition following the dismissal of Brian Kelly.

Interim head coach Frank Wilson now leads the Tigers, with offensive coordinator Alex Atkins taking over play-calling duties. Despite the turbulence, LSU remains a dangerous opponent, particularly on defense. The Tigers rank No. 22 nationally in scoring defense, allowing just 18.9 points per game.

Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson continues to build his Heisman résumé, having thrown for more than 2,100 yards and 20 touchdowns this season. His leadership and poise have helped the Crimson Tide develop one of the most explosive offenses in the SEC. The defense, meanwhile, has been dominant in second halves, routinely shutting down opponents after halftime.

This year's matchup carries added weight after Alabama's loss to LSU in Baton Rouge last season. With home-field advantage and playoff implications on the line, the Tide will look to exact revenge and maintain their momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.

Following the LSU game, Alabama will host Oklahoma on November 15 for Homecoming, face Eastern Illinois on November 22, and close the regular season with the Iron Bowl at Auburn on November 29.
