Trump withdraws support for Marjorie Taylor Greene

November 15, 2025 – WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald J. Trump (R) in a lengthy Truth Social post announced that he was withdrawing his support and endorsement of Conservative Congresswoman and MAGA influencer Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Rome, GA).

Trump called Rep. Greene: "Wacky," a "ranting lunatic," and accused her of having "gone Far Left."

"If the right person runs, they will have my Complete and Unyielding Support," President Trump added.

Greene for her part says that she still supports the Trump administration, but reserves the right to disagree with the President and the Republican Party.

"While I support President Trump's administration and have voted in support of his agenda. I am also allowed to disagree with him at times," said Greene on X. "For example, bringing the Al-Qaeda Syrian President to be honored in the Oval Office on the 250th Anniversary of the Marines and the day before Veterans Day is something I am 100% against. That in no way is America First and sadly is Veterans last."

Trump claimed that the rift was due to his unwillingness to support Green for U.S. Senate or Governor of Georgia. He also claimed that she is angry because he has not taken her phone calls. Rep. Greene disputed that account:

"The President said I criticized him because he pushed me not to run for Senate or governor in Georgia. That is absolutely not true," said Rep. Greene on X. "I have never had a conversation with President Trump about running for Senate or governor. Those decisions were completely my own. And after the past two months of the government shutdown, Americans saw exactly why I would never want to be in the Senate!! I also haven't called him. White House logs would prove that."

Greene has also been vocal in calling for the release of the Epstein files – something the Trump administration (like the Biden administration before him) has refused to do.

"The only messages I posted were the ones I actually sent, asking him to get involved because the American people want the Epstein files released. That's it," claimed Rep. Greene on X.

On Truth Social, Trump referred to Greene as "Marjorie 'Traitor' Greene" and accused her of betraying the Republican Party. The growing rift between the two MAGA leaders erupted after Greene was one of four Republicans who joined Democrats in signing a discharge petition to force a House vote on releasing the Epstein files.

Green said that being called a "traitor" by Trump puts her life in danger.

"I stood with President Trump when almost no one else would," said Green. "I campaigned for him all over this country and spent millions of my own dollars helping him get elected.

That's why being called a "traitor" isn't just hurtful, it puts a target on my back and puts my life in danger."

Below is the full Truth Social post where Trump announced he was no longer supporting Greene's re-election.

"I am withdrawing my support and Endorsement of "Congresswoman" Marjorie Taylor Greene, of the Great State of Georgia. Over the past few weeks, despite my creating Record Achievements for our Country including, a Total and Complete Victory on the Shutdown, Closed Borders, Low Taxes, No Men in Women's Sports or Transgender for Everyone, ending DEI, stopping Biden's Record Setting Inflation, Biggest Regulation Cuts in History, stopping EIGHT WARS, rebuilding our Military, being RESPECTED by every Country in the World (as opposed to being the laughingstock that we were just 12 months ago!), having Trillions of Dollars (Record Setting!) INVESTED in the U.S.A., and having created the "HOTTEST" Country anywhere in the World from being a DEAD Country just 12 months ago (and so much more!), all I see "Wacky" Marjorie do is COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN! It seemed to all begin when I sent her a Poll stating that she should not run for Senator, or Governor, she was at 12%, and didn't have a chance (unless, of course, she had my Endorsement - which she wasn't about to get!). She has told many people that she is upset that I don't return her phone calls anymore, but with 219 Congressmen/women, 53 U.S. Senators, 24 Cabinet Members, almost 200 Countries, and an otherwise normal life to lead, I can't take a ranting Lunatic's call every day. I understand that wonderful, Conservative people are thinking about primarying Marjorie in her District of Georgia, that they too are fed up with her and her antics and, if the right person runs, they will have my Complete and Unyielding Support. She has gone Far Left, even doing The View, with their Low IQ Republican hating Anchors. Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

Greene represents Georgia's 14th Congressional District in Northeast Georgia – right across the state line from Alabama.
