Geneva County Sheriff Tony Helms Endorses Katherine Robertson for Alabama Attorney General

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Geneva County Sheriff Tony Helms has endorsed Republican Katherine Robertson in her campaign for Alabama Attorney General, adding another veteran law‑enforcement voice to Robertson's growing list of supporters ahead of the May 19, 2026 primary.

Sheriff Helms, who is concluding a long career in public service, praised Robertson's record on public safety and her support among law‑enforcement leaders across the state.

"I am proud to support Katherine in her race for Attorney General," Helms said. "As I wrap up my career as the sheriff of Geneva County, I want to do everything I can to elect the next generation of strong leaders. Katherine's widespread support amongst law enforcement is a testament to her unrivaled track record for public safety. I hope you will join me in voting for her on May 19th."

Robertson expressed gratitude for the endorsement and commended Helms for his decades of service to Geneva County.

"I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement of Sheriff Tony Helms, a dedicated public servant who has spent decades protecting the citizens of Geneva County with integrity and strength," Robertson said. "I am grateful for his trust in me to continue the fight for law and order as Alabama's next Attorney General. Endorsements like Sheriff Helms' from those on the front lines of public safety mean the world to me and reinforce why I'm running-to build on proven results and keep Alabama safe."

Robertson faces Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey and former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Jay Mitchell in the Republican Primary.

The endorsement adds to Robertson's support from law‑enforcement officials across Alabama as the Republican primary approaches. The statewide primary election for Attorney General will take place on May 19, 2026.
