Alabama Farmers Federation endorses Kevin Bradford in House District 17

MARION COUNTY, Ala., March 6, 2026 - The Alabama Farmers Federation has announced its endorsement of Kevin Bradford for Alabama House District 17, which covers portions of Lamar, Marion and Winston counties.

"Kevin Bradford is a fine example of what hard work can do for someone and their community," said Will Gilmer, Lamar County Farmers Federation president and Alabama Farmers Federation District 5 director. "He will work hard for us in Montgomery and make sure farmers and all the people of House District 17 are heard."

"Kevin Bradford is an outstanding public servant in our county, and we need him representing us in Montgomery in the Legislature," said Marion County Farmers Federation President Kenneth Real. "He will serve in a way that will represent us well and make us proud at the same time."

"Kevin Bradford knows the people of this district well and will go to bat for us in Montgomery," said Darrell Lee, Winston County Farmers Federation president and Alabama Farmers Federation District 4 director. "He is someone we can count on. He has the leadership skills and experience to make a difference in the Legislature."

Bradford received his B.S. in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of North Alabama and a master's in education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, focusing on health education and counseling. He has enjoyed a successful 30-year career in the insurance and financial services industry.

Bradford is active in his community, serving as president of the Nelson & Charlene Kemp Foundation and as past president of the Winfield Lions Club and the Winfield Chamber of Commerce. He also serves as vice chairman of both the Winfield Public Library Board and the Winfield Water and Sewer Board.

"I am honored to receive the Farmers Federation's endorsement," Bradford said. "Federation members are the backbone of our district's communities, and I appreciate their hard work and support of my campaign."

Bradford and his wife, Tanya, have been married 40 years and have three adult children and are grandparents to a growing family. The Bradfords attend Winfield First Baptist Church where Kevin serves as a deacon and Sunday School teacher.

The Alabama Farmers Federation is the state's largest farm organization with more than 360,000 member families. It uses a true grassroots approach to select candidates, relying on Alabama FarmPAC endorsements from county Farmers Federation boards of directors for local elections.
