HALE COUNTY, Ala. - March 6, 2026 - The Alabama Farmers Federation has announced its endorsement of Rep. Curtis Travis for Alabama House District 72 which covers portions of Bibb, Greene, Hale and Tuscaloosa counties.
"Rep. Curtis Travis is dependable and accessible," said Ronnie Norris, president of the Bibb County Farmers Federation. "He will work hard to represent the farmers and all the constituents of District 72."
"Rep. Travis has been there for us and has listened to our concerns as farmers and as businesspeople," said Dickie Odom, Jr., Greene County Farmers Federation president. "He is accessible and hard-working, and we look forward to supporting him again."
"Rep. Curtis Travis is a hard-working legislator who can relate to our needs as farmers," said Wallace Drury, president of the Hale County Farmers Federation. "That is one of many reasons why we are proud to support him."
"Rep. Curtis Travis is a strong supporter of farmers and knows the positive impact we have in this district," said John Walker, president of the Tuscaloosa County Farmers Federation. "He has done a good job representing us in Montgomery, and we know he will continue to do so."

Travis was married to the late Dr. Jimmie Clark-Travis. They have two children. He is the pastor of Benville Missionary Baptist Church in Cottondale.
Travis received his B.S. from the University of Alabama in petroleum engineering. He later earned his master's degree in environmental engineering.
In the House of Representatives, Travis serves on the Agriculture and Forestry; Ethics and Campaign Finance; Ports, Waterways and Intermodal Transit; and Transportation, Utilities and Infrastructure committees.
The Alabama Farmers Federation is the state's largest farm organization with more than 360,000 member families. It uses a true grassroots approach to select candidates, relying on Alabama FarmPAC endorsements from county Farmers Federation boards of directors for local elections.
