Senator Rick Scott Endorses Barry Moore for U.S. Senate

March 17, 2026 - ENTERPRISE, AL - Senator Rick Scott of Florida has endorsed Congressman Barry Moore in Alabama's 2026 race for the United States Senate, adding another high‑profile national figure to Moore's growing list of supporters.

In announcing his endorsement, Senator Scott praised Moore's record and aligned himself with the broader America First movement.

"Barry Moore is the America First fighter that Alabama needs," Senator Scott said. "Barry has been a strong conservative. I'm proud to join President Trump and endorse him. I look forward to working with him in the Senate to Make America Great Again."

Moore welcomed the endorsement, emphasizing the policy battles he intends to take on if elected.

"I'd like to thank Senator Scott for his encouragement and his support," Moore said. "We've got a lot of work to do in DC. In the Senate, I'll work with Senator Scott to permanently close our borders to illegal immigration, make life affordable for working families, and end the brainwashing of our children by left-wing radicals."

Congressman Barry Moore is running for U.S. Senate

Born and raised in Coffee County, Barry Moore is a Christian, husband, father, and small‑business owner who served in the Alabama National Guard Reserves. In August 2015, at Ladd‑Peebles Stadium in Mobile, he became the first elected official in the nation to endorse Donald Trump for President, a relationship he has emphasized throughout his political career.

Moore is currently the only candidate in the Alabama Senate race with President Trump's "Complete and Total Endorsement."

After attending Auburn University, Moore and his wife Heather founded BMI, Inc., a waste‑removal and demolition company that grew from a single truck into a successful business over more than two decades.

Elected to Congress in 2020, Moore is a member of the House Freedom Caucus. He has been rated the most conservative member of Alabama's congressional delegation by CPAC and recognized as the state's most effective legislator by the Center for Legislative Excellence. His record in Congress includes advocacy for farmers, veterans, and small‑business owners, along with opposition to federal policies he has criticized on immigration, justice, and social issues.

Moore and his wife Heather have four children-Jeremy (and his wife Brittany), Kathleen (and her husband Jack), Claudia (and her husband Garrett), and Jeb-along with two grandchildren and two dogs. The family continues to reside in Coffee County.

Moore faces a tough GOP field for Senate in the May 19 Republican field including: Rancher and businessman Rodney Walker, former Navy Seal Jared Hudson, Dale Shelton Deas Jr., Seth Burton, and Attorney General Steve Marshall.

Additionally Dakarai Larriett, Kyle Sweetser, Everett Wess, and Mark S. Wheeler II are running for Senate as Democrats.

Incumbent Senator Tommy Tuberville is running for Governor.
