The people's voice of reason

Medical Freedom Advocate LaPoint Backed by Health Freedom Groups for US Congress

April 29, 2026 - ALABAMA - Long before such groups existed, Terri LaPoint has been fighting for health freedom. She has now been endorsed for US Congressional District 3 by the national group Stand for Health Freedom as well as by Health Freedom Alabama.

LaPoint served families as a labor doula and childbirth educator for many years before becoming an investigative journalist, primarily focused on stories of medical kidnapping -where state agencies have seized children from innocent families for medical reasons.

"For decades I have served families and pushed back against governmental overreach. More than any other candidate on the ballot, I have fought for the common-sense values of parental rights, informed consent, and medical freedom. I am honored to receive endorsements from these valiant groups who are fighting hard for these foundational human rights."

Stand for Health Freedom writes:

"Congratulations! Stand for Health Freedom (SHF) is proud to endorse your campaign for Alabama US House - District 3! Your commitment to protecting medical freedom, informed consent, parental rights, religious liberty, privacy, and free speech reflects the very principles that define our nationwide movement of more than one million advocates and growing."

Health Freedom Alabama has endorsed Terri LaPoint, saying, "These candidates are stepping up to defend freedom, liberty, and the right of every Alabamian to make their own medical decisions without government overreach." She is a candidate who is " ready to:

✔Restore medical freedom and personal choice

✔Put parents back in charge of their children's healthcare

✔Reject mandates and government overreach

✔Defend liberty at every level of government"

Covid and the events of 2020 were a wake-up call to many Americans regarding the freedoms that have been eroding for decades, but LaPoint has been in the fight for most of her life - serving families, educating the public and legislators, exposing corruption and governmental overreach, and defending freedom and Constitutional rights.

Over the years, LaPoint has worked with legislators to secure the right for mothers to breastfeed their babies wherever they are and for the right of parents to choose childbirth with a midwife. She worked with parents to let them know their rights to informed choice in medical decisions. She has also supported the right of parents to homeschool.

LaPoint wrote the first resolution in the state of Alabama in support of the Parental Rights bill, signed into law in 2023, which establishes the fact that parents have the fundamental right to direct the care, upbringing, and education of their children.

When the mask mandates and Covid vaccine mandates came out, LaPoint pushed back. "No one should lose their job or be threatened with DHR taking their child over a decision to refuse a shot or a medical procedure."

As an investigative journalist, she has documented many hundreds of families whose children were taken from loving, non-abusive parents for medical disagreements as well as senior citizens seized from their families and needlessly placed under guardianship. Her first viral article in 2014 involved "Vaccine Blackmail" - a case in which a Birmingham hospital threatened a young couple with DHR removal of their hours-old newborn if they refused a vaccine. LaPoint was present at the birth of the baby and knew the parents well. This incident lit a fire under her to dig deeper.

After years of uncovering blatant violations of parental rights and Constitutional principles, as well as trafficking and abuse through the system purported to protect children and elderly, LaPoint made many trips to Washington, DC, as a citizen to talk to lawmakers and advocate for medical freedom and families.

Now she is running for US Congress to be a voice for the people of Alabama's Congressional District 3. She is driven by principle and the determination to do what is right. The endorsements by Health Freedom Alabama and Stand for Health Freedom are well-placed. Terri LaPoint is the candidate who will fight for families and health freedom harder than any other. She already has the track record to prove it.
