Pamela Casey joins the Brandon and Christopher Show Podcast

Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey, a candidate for Alabama Attorney General, recently appeared on the BCS State of Alabama Podcast (formerly the Brandon and Christopher Show) hosted by Brandon Moseley and Christopher Peeks to discuss her campaign and vision for the state's top law enforcement office.

A Campaign Rooted in Experience

During the interview, Casey emphasized her unique background as the only candidate in the race with extensive experience as a career prosecutor. She framed her candidacy around the need for an Attorney General who is focused on the practicalities of law enforcement and public safety rather than national political posturing.

Addressing the Prison Crisis

A central theme of the discussion was Alabama's ongoing prison crisis. Casey critiqued the current administration's handling of the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC), citing issues such as: Dysfunctional Staffing: The arrest of multiple ADOC staff members in early 2026 as evidence of a systemic breakdown. Safety and Use of Force: Concerns regarding inmate deaths and the use of force within state facilities.

Casey positioned herself as a protector of Alabama's children and families, arguing that the Attorney General should be the state's most visible advocate for safety. Casey said that she is the only candidate in the race who has actually prosecuted a case in a courtroom before. Casey previously worked in the attorney general's office. At 28 she was elected as the youngest DA in the state. Casey discussed her career as a prosecutor in which she has trialed murder cases, child sex predators, drug crimes, and other offenses.

Casey faces Deputy AG Katherine Green Robertson and former Attorney General Jay Mitchell in the May 19 Republican primary.

The interview is part of a series on the BCS Podcast, which has become a significant platform for candidates ahead of the May 19, 2026, primary election.
