Mo Brooks discusses gambling interests efforts to steal the 2026 election

May 15, 2026 - HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Former Congressman Mo Brooks sat down with Brandon Moseley and Christopher Peeks for an in‑depth interview on the BCS: State of Alabama podcast, offering a wide‑ranging discussion on the May 19 primary, the direction of the Republican Party, and the political forces shaping Alabama's future.

Brooks, who represented Alabama's 5th Congressional District for six terms and remains one of the state's most recognizable conservative voices in the country, spoke openly about his efforts to have Space Command placed in Huntsville. Brooks is a candidate for House District 20.

Brooks also touted his role in the last four decades of growing the economic base of Huntsville and the greater Madison County area.

"I played a role, I am not going to say I was the person, because we have a team up here," said Brooks. "A group of people who work together to accomplish the kind of successes we have. had where our Democrats and Republicans when it comes to our community worked together to advance our mutual interests. During this entire time, I have been in office Huntsville has excelled We have not only done better than any other community in the state of Alabama in producing jobs and high paying."

He slammed his primary opponent - incumbent State Representative James Lomax.

Brooks has been targeted by corrupt out of state gambling interests. Draft Kings, Fan Duel, and other out of state gambling interests have spent over $45 million in this primary. Brooks have been outspent 10 to 1 by Brooks.

"I don't know of a good thing that comes out of the kind of gambling we are talking about," said Brooks. "$45 million buys a lot of votes." "It is the money that is buying those votes."

Brooks urged Republicans to remain focused on fiscal responsibility, border security, and constitutional governance, themes that have defined his political career.
