Gun Owners of America Endorses Barry Moore for U.S. Senate

Enterprise, AL – Gun Owners of America (GOA), one of the nation's most influential no‑compromise Second Amendment organizations, announced its endorsement of Congressman Barry Moore in Alabama's race for the United States Senate.

Erich Pratt, Senior Vice President of GOA, praised Moore's record as a steadfast defender of constitutional rights.

"Gun Owners of America is proud to endorse Barry Moore for the United States Senate because he has consistently stood with law-abiding gun owners and fought back against unconstitutional attacks on the Second Amendment," Pratt said. "From opposing Biden-era gun control schemes to defending the rights of Alabama gun owners, Barry Moore has been a reliable voice for the Constitution and our God-given freedoms. Alabama voters can count on him to stand strong against the anti-gun agenda in Washington."

Moore Highlights His Commitment to the Second Amendment

Moore, who has built a consistent pro‑gun voting record in Congress, said he was honored to receive GOA's support.

"I'm honored to have the support of Gun Owners of America," Moore said. "The right to keep and bear arms is fundamental to preserving our liberty, and I will never back down from defending it. As a gun owner, I understand that our Second Amendment rights are under attack by many career bureaucrats in Washington. I have always worked to preserve Alabamians' liberty, and I will continue to be a reliable and fearless defender of the Second Amendment as your next United States Senator for Alabama."

During his time in the U.S. House, Moore has supported pro‑gun legislation, opposed federal firearm restrictions he views as unconstitutional, and advocated for policies that strengthen the rights of law‑abiding gun owners.

About Barry Moore

Barry Moore was born and raised in Coffee County and has built a career rooted in service, entrepreneurship, and conservative activism. A Christian, husband, and father, Moore served in the Alabama National Guard Reserves before entering public life.

In August 2015, at Ladd‑Peebles Stadium in Mobile, he became the first elected official in the nation to endorse Donald Trump for president. He is currently the only candidate in Alabama's U.S. Senate race with President Trump's "Complete and Total Endorsement."

Moore attended Auburn University, where he enlisted in the Alabama National Guard Reserves and met his wife, Heather. After college, the couple founded BMI, Inc., a demolition and waste‑removal company that grew from a single truck into a thriving business over two decades.

Elected to Congress in 2020, Moore is a member of the House Freedom Caucus. He has been rated the most conservative member of Alabama's congressional delegation by CPAC and recognized as the state's most effective legislator by the Center for Legislative Excellence. His work in Congress has focused on supporting farmers, veterans, and small business owners while opposing policies he describes as harmful to border security, public safety, and traditional values.

Barry and Heather Moore have four children-Jeremy (and his wife Brittany), Kathleen (and her husband Jack), Claudia (and her husband Garrett), and Jeb-along with two grandchildren and two dogs. They continue to reside in Coffee County.

Moore faces former Navy SEAL Jared Hudson in the Republican primary runoff on June 16, 2026.
