Lee Greenwood to perform at a free event in Hoover for the John Wahl campaign

HOOVER, Ala. - Country music star Lee Greenwood will headline a Saturday rally in support of John Wahl, the Trump‑endorsed conservative running in Alabama's 2026 lieutenant governor race. The event, held at Brock's Gap Brewing Company in Hoover, is being billed as a major get‑out‑the‑vote push ahead of Tuesday's primary runoff.

"We're honored to have Lee Greenwood standing with us as we fight for our faith, our freedom, our country, and the values that make Alabama great," the Wahl campaign wrote in an announcement. "Bring your friends and family, and come be part of something special!

Wahl, the former chairman of the Alabama Republican Party, framed the upcoming election as a choice between grassroots conservatives and what he described as "Montgomery insiders." His campaign said the rally will highlight themes of faith, freedom, and patriotism, with Greenwood's appearance expected to energize supporters in the final days before voters head to the polls.

Wahl is endorsed by President Donald J. Trump (R).

The Hoover event marks one of Wahl's largest pre‑runoff gatherings and comes as both campaigns intensify outreach efforts across the state.

John Wahl faces Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen in the June 16 Republican runoff.
