The people's voice of reason

Danielle Duggar joins the Brandon and Harry Still on the Heart of Dixie podcast following her GOP primary win

Alabama House District 96 Republican nominee Danielle Duggar outlined her conservative policy goals and discussed her primary victory in a recent Heart of Dixie podcast interview.

Duggar focused on grassroots, door-to-door campaign strategy to overcome significant spending by out of state gambling interests.

Duggar has won the Republican primary, but she still faces a Democratic general election opponent whom she said was, "A radical leftist transgender."

"Doug Jones is going to mobilize liberals and Democrats to vote in the general election," warned Duggar. "I have got to curb stomp him. I have got to make sure that they (Democrats) don't get a foothold here."

Dugger warned that these state agencies have been growing out of control for a decade.

"The general fund has doubled since 2003," said Duggar.

Duggar's defeat of Republican incumbent Representative Matt Simpson (R-Fairfield) was one of the biggest upsets in the May 19 Republican primary. Duggar defended her campaign against the allegation that they had engaged in malicious attacks of Simpson.

"They were hiding from us," said Duggar. "Not a single one of them was in their offices."

Duggar emphasized priorities including infrastructure reform, medical freedom, and educational changes.

This episode of the Heart of Dixie Podcast was just two days after co-host Harry Still III was found not guilty of assaulting Bay Minette city councilman Matt Franklin. Still accused his prosecutors of malicious prosecution.
