John Wahl joins the Brandon and Christopher Show podcast

Republican Lieutenant Governor candidate John Wahl recently joined Brandon Moseley and Christopher Peeks for the Brandon and Christopher Show Podcast.

Wahl is a former Chairman of the Alabama Republican Party

Wahl described himself as "the outsider in the race"

Wahl said that his opponent - Secretary of State John Wahl - has gone negative against him - like he went negative on Nicole other lieutenant Governor candidates including Jones Wadsworth and Rick Pate during the primary.

Wahl said that he does not like the negative campaigning and will not just stand and take it. He said that he has made a point of making policy comparisons between Allen and himself.

"He voted for the gas tax bill: I opposed the gas tax bill," said Wahl.

"What I hate to see are the lies," said Wahl. "He paid $20,000 to attorneys to try to get me removed from the ballot."

"I am not going to let somebody lie about my record without calling him out on it," said Wahl. "That's what career politicians do to hold on to office - He has built his life around politics. He has run for office six times in twenty years."

"We have got to get back to speaking the truth," said Wahl. "At the end of this day this race is not about me. It is not about my opponent. It is about the people of Alabama."

We asked Wahl about the divisions that have appeared in the Republican base over the Iran War.

Wahl said that there ther are going to be disagreements, but at the end of the day Republicans should unite around, "Fighting the Godless radical left. That is the real enemy of America."

John Wahl has been endorsed by President Donald J. Trump (R).

"At the end of the day we know Donald Trump loves America and is fighting to drain the swamp," Wahl said.

Wahl said that, "Government in Alabama is broken" and said that there are things such at the Department of Transportation that could be done better.

Wahl also went into detail about his plan for cutting and eventually eliminating the state income tax.

Wahl faces Allen in the Republican primary runoff for Lieutenant Governor on June 16, 2026.

Polls open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. Voters should bring a valid photo ID with them to the polls.
