The people's voice of reason

"Duty To Disobey" Documentary Exposing The Covid-19 Vaccine and the Military Premieres Today

"Ours is not to reason why, ours but to do and die." This quote, which is a variation of a line from "The Charge of the Light Brigade" by Alfred, Lord Tennyson, is often used to describe the military mindset when it comes to obeying orders. For, typically, in the military, one of the first duties of a soldier is to obey orders. However, in the American army there is an exception to the "do and die" mindset when it comes to orders. Those orders have to be lawful. When an order is unlawful, an American soldier then has the duty to disobey an unlawful order. It is this duty that forms the basis for the "Duty To Disobey" documentary that premieres in movie theaters across the country today.

For on August 24th of 2021, the Secretary of Defense mandated that the United States service members receive the COVID-19 vaccine. This led to the phenomenon where previously healthy and highly fit soldiers developed a sudden onset of myocarditis, also known as an inflammation of the heart muscle, immediately after being issued the at that time still experimental COVID-19 vaccine. With myocarditis causing heart attacks and strokes in some instances, many soldiers refused to subject themselves to such severe health consequences by not taking the at that time still experimental vaccine. Leading to 8,400 service members being discharged for refusing to follow the mandated COVID-19 vaccine order. In many cases, those service members were not just discharged from the army, but given a dishonorable discharge.

A dishonorable discharge in the military is the most punitive form of discharge that the army gives to soldiers. For it entails the complete forfeiture of all veteran benefits and even impacts the soldiers' civilian life. Typically, it is used for felony crimes like murder or sexual assault. But, during the times of the mandated COVID-19 vaccine era, soldiers who followed their duty to disobey and refused to take the COVID-19 experimental vaccine, were sometimes held in confinement in the brig, held in solitary confinement, and placed in the category of a convicted felon with a dishonorable discharge.

It is important to note, that when the Secretary of Defense in 2021 issued the mandate that United States military personnel receive the COVID-19 vaccine, it was not due to an order signed by the President of the United States, Joe Biden at that time, nor from direct Congressional authorization. With many soldiers viewing the mandate as unlawful since the Secretary of Defense had overstepped his authority by unilaterally implementing a vaccine mandate. As under federal law, military members cannot be ordered to take any medication without informed consent, unless the President of the United States determines that said informed consent is not in the best interest of national security. Nevertheless, during the times of the mandated COVID-19 mandate, when some of the brave soldiers followed their duty to disobey the unlawful order, severe consequences followed. With those severe consequences being the focus of the "Duty To Disobey" documentary.

As is revealed in the documentary, while various Presidents of the United States are featured lauding the valor of the American soldiers, some commanders in the military were horrified at what was being done to their own. With some of them commenting that, "Dear God, we're killing our own soldiers." Thankfully, when the Trump administration came into office, the Department of Defense officially rescinded the COVID-19 vaccine mandate in January of 2023. With former services members who were separated due to following their duty to disobey the COVID-19 vaccine mandate having until April 01st, 2027 to apply for reinstatement.

But, what happened to the brave American soldiers who followed their duty to disobey between August 24th of 2021 and January 10th of 2023, will nevertheless be an eye opener for anybody who watches the "Duty To Disobey" documentary. Which premiers today in select movie theaters across the country. With the AMC Valley Bend 18 movie theater in Huntsville being the movie theater showing the documentary in Alabama.
