"Young Washinton" – The Movie Is Now Streaming

For those who didn't make it to the movie theater or for those who did and wish to see it again, the recently released movie, "Young Washington" is now available for streaming via Amazon Prime and Angel.com. "Young Washington" is also available to purchase on Amazon on Blue-Ray or DVD. The well done film has grossed around close to $47 million in the movie theater box offices and has remained in the top ten in the domestic box office charts since its release in the movie theaters over a month ago on July 03rd, 2026.

"Young Washington" is a slightly fictionalized biopic of George Washington's formative years leading up to the French and Indian War which took place between 1754 and 1763. The film was directed and co-written by Jon Erwin, who hails from Alabama. With Jon Erwin being the son of a former Alabama State Senator, Hank Erwin. He and his brother, Andrew, are known collectively as "The Erwin Brothers" due to both of them making their mark in the entertainment industry as American Christian Filmmakers who focus on faith-based films. Both brothers were born in Birmingham, Alabama. Due to the success of "Young Washington", Jon Erwin has already announced that he working on a sequel to the film.

"Young Washington" is rated PG-13 due to some of the French and Indian War era violence, but it is actually suitable for family viewing. Especially, for those who have an interest in history. On Angel.com it is described as a movie that, "amplifies light through hope and faith" but does contain some language and violence. It has a running time of two hours and one minute. The film stars the young British actor, William Franklyn-Miller in the title role of George Washington. And features a good supporting cast. With the Colorado native, John Foss, portraying the older half-brother of George Washington, Lawrence Washington, in a particularly kindly manner that is worthy of a supporting actor Oscar nomination. Foss previously portrayed Jesus Christ in "The Life of Jesus Christ" television series that aired from 2011 to 2016.
