President Trump Is Attending The Finale Of The Patriot Games Today

The finale of the Patriot Games, a youth sporting competition featuring a male and a female high school athlete from every state in the nation, is tonight at 6PM Central Time. Since the Trump administration created the 2026 Patriot Games to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of The Declaration of Independence, President Trump is visiting Northeast Ohio this evening for the finale of the Patriot Games. With the Patriot Games being held at the SPIRE Academy in Geneva, Ohio.

The two students representing the State of Alabama in the Patriot Games are Trevor Roen and Kelsey Whipple. Trevor is a fourteen-years-of-age Freshman at Enterprise High School. He is the son of an active-duty Black Hawk pilot stationed at Fort Rucker. Trevor's excitement at representing Alabama in the 2026 Patriot Games is evident from his statement that, "I not only feel honored, but I feel the weight of representing Alabama. I want to make everyone here proud." Trevor Roen began competing in athletics at the age of 8, beginning with swimming. His mother, Kristle Roen, is the acting deputy chief of the military Pay Office at Fort Rucker.

Kelsey Whipple is a sophomore at Athens high School. Her family is very excited for her to be representing, "Sweet home Alabama!!!" Ellie Lynn Martin is a native of Chelsea and a prominent soccer player at Indian Springs School in Pelham, Alabama. She is the female alternate to represent Alabama in the Patriot Games, in the event an alternate is needed.

Some of the competitive events in the Patriot Games include a "Presidential Fitness Test" consisting of a military-inspired boot camp circuit, an obstacle course, kickball, dodgeball, and tug-of-war competitions. One young male student and one young female student will each receive $125,000 scholarship at the conclusion of the Patriot Games. With the Patriot Games being streamed live on ESPN. And a one-hour special on the Patriot Games being aired on ABC tomorrow, August 13t, at 8PM Central Time.
