The people's voice of reason
Any society which suppresses the heritage of its conquered minorities, prevents their history or denies them their symbols, has sown the seeds of their own destruction. – William Wallace
Governments seeking to destroy history typically start with the “low-hanging fruit.” The demonization of the South has been in play for decades. The South and the North were/are different—two separate and distinct countries always made sense. Many see the smearing of the South merely as a starting point to spread the cancer. For example, attacks on Christian Southerners like Robert E. Lee were destined to become attacks on the Founders (Washington, Jefferson, etc.). The ultimate goal has always been to destroy Western Civilization.
Most attempts to undermine Western Civilization have arisen from the Godless philosophy of Marxism. Many living today remember the November 18, 1956, commentary from Russia’s Communist leader, Nikita Khrushchev: “We will take America without firing a shot. We do not have to invade the U.S. We will destroy you from within....” Although some refuse to believe it can happen here, others know it can. As Patrick Henry warned, eternal vigilance is the only means of safeguarding liberty.
How can this nefarious takeover be achieved without “firing a shot”? The short answer is to infiltrate the education system, control the media, and use “Hollywood” to promote the plan. It is obvious that movies, television, commercials, etc., promote a distinct agenda that almost always demonizes White, Straight, Christian Males. This effort began to take form in the 1970s and has escalated over time.
Long-planted seeds of authoritarianism have come to fruition. The elitist Fabian Socialists (Beatrice Webb, George Bernard Shaw, Jack London, etc.) played a role in the migration toward socialism. They preferred an evolutionary transformation instead of the revolutionary approach of Marxism. Relative to the education system, the German Frankfurt School with Max Horkheimer, Herbert Marcuse, Theodor Adorno, Walter Benjamin, Georg Lukacs, and others began in 1923. They realized the folly of economic Marxism and sought to infiltrate the culture itself, thus we have Cultural Marxism. As Ludwig von Mises noted, “Every socialist is a disguised dictator.”
We now witness the “fruits” of Cultural Marxism in the form of Critical Race Theory (CRT), Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and the demonization of Western Civilization through “wokeness” and “cancel culture.” A present and highly controversial example of Marxist ideology is the 1619 Project. “CRT developed out of Postmodern Theory which began in the 1960s…Postmodern Theory embraces the concept that the only objective truth is society is comprised of systems of power and privilege…” and “race is a social construct created by White supremacists…” (Pluckrose & Lindsay) Furthermore, it alleges that social interaction is based on oppressors versus the oppressed. Unsurprisingly, White heterosexual men are considered the primary oppressors and others are the oppressed. The main instigators of postmodern thinking include Michel
Foucault, Jacques Derrida, Jean-François Lyotard, and Richard Rorty. As Stephen R.C. Hicks explained, “post-modernism is anti-realist, holding that it is impossible to speak meaningfully about an independently existing reality.”
CRT promotes a negative view of the U.S., minimizes the historical significance of outlawing slave labor, categorizes everyone by race and defines all interactions under that umbrella, is hostile to opposing points of view, claims all Whites are oppressors and cannot feel oppressed (tell this to the Irish, who have many genetic commonalities with the English), and claims Blacks and other non-Whites are simply powerless victims. CRT is anti-reality and anti-human liberty. Paul Gottfried insists CRT is worse than Marxism given the unpunished destruction and theft of private property connected to those pushing this agenda.
In conjunction with CRT, DEI has been foisted upon private life, business, government, etc. Emanating from the colleges, which have been infiltrated by Marxists (presumably as Khrushchev predicted), these diversity “jobs” are ubiquitous. From a personal standpoint, I witnessed this at Russell Corporation, when one of the CEOs bought into policing speech, and suggested refraining from the use of certain words (e.g., girls). This “Thought Police” mentality was straight out of George Orwell’s 1984.
The number of Soviet-styled tactics foisted on the U.S. at this time is mind-boggling. One group was identified by Booker T. Washington: “I am afraid there is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don’t want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public.” (The Texas Piney Woods Blog)
Although the enemies of Western Civilization attack from multiple angles, there is a group working to restore common sense and sanity. They are Alabamians for Academic Excellence and Integrity (AAEI) and their website is:
