July 22, 2025 - TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, AL. - The Alabama Farmers Federation has announced its endorsement of Tuscaloosa business leader Norman Crow for Alabama House District 63, which encompasses portions of Tuscaloosa County. The seat was made vacant by the resignation of Rep. Cynthia Almond, who was appointed to the Public Service Commission.

Crow will be the Republican nominee in the special general election which will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

"Norman Crow has long been a leader in Tuscaloosa County," said John E. Walker IV, Tuscaloosa County Farmers Federation president. "He participates in many aspects of our community and has been in key positions of leadership, always producing outstanding results. We know he will do the same thing for us in the Alabama Legislature."

Crow received his degree in accounting from the University of Alabama in 1990. His career has been spent at Southern Natural Gas, Tenneco Energy, Duke Energy, Reliant Energy and Innovative Energy Services. He also owned and operated DT Freight, a local transportation business. He presently serves as a licensed real estate agent with Hamner Real Estate.

Crow participates in multiple charitable and civic organizations including serving as the board chair for the Boys and Girl Club of West Alabama, United Way of West Alabama and the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce. He has also served as a board member for the Business Council of Alabama, Alabama Commission on Higher Education, Alabama Workforce Council and Tuscaloosa City School Board. He is a graduate of Leadership Alabama.

"I am honored to have the endorsement of Alabama's farmers," said Crow. "I look forward to working with them to promote our state's most valuable resources both in and outside of Tuscaloosa and west Alabama."

Crow and his wife, Keeshan, have three children and are members of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Tuscaloosa.

The Alabama Farmers Federation is the state's largest farm organization with more than 362,000 member families. It uses a true grassroots approach to select candidates, relying on Alabama FarmPAC endorsements from county Farmers Federation boards of directors for local elections.
