August 5, 2025 - BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Katherine Robertson for Attorney General campaign has reported over $1.5 million in fundraising since launching, with more than $250,000 raised since July 1 alone. These figures reflect growing momentum for the Republican candidate as she prepares for a statewide campaign in 2026.
According to the campaign's official monthly finance report filed August 4, a portion of contribution checks received by the finance team had not been included due to an unexpected shipping delay. Materials sent via UPS on August 1 - guaranteed for delivery by 3:00 PM on August 4 - failed to arrive on time. A letter from The UPS Store #3213 in Birmingham confirmed that UPS is responsible for the delay.
The campaign says an amended report will be filed today, August 5, once the delayed contributions are processed and added to the official total. The amendment will ensure full transparency and compliance with Alabama's Fair Campaign Practices Act (FCPA).
The revised numbers include a $100,000 contribution received on August 4, pushing the total raised since July 1 past the $250,000 mark. Campaign staff say the influx of support underscores the enthusiasm and confidence surrounding Robertson's candidacy.
With fundraising now exceeding $1.5 million in under two months, Robertson's campaign appears poised to be a formidable force in the upcoming election cycle.
GOP qualifying does not even begin until January, but already Robertson, Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey, and former Associate Justice Jay Mitchell are running for the Republican nomination for the open AG's seat. No Democrat has yet announced for Attorney General; but Alabama has not elected a Democratic AG in the last 35 years.
Incumbent AG Steve Marshall is running for U.S. Senate. Marshall has endorsed Robertson.
The Republican primary is May 19, 2026.
