Enterprise Mayoral Runoff Election: Cooper vs. Baker

Enterprise, Alabama is heading into a pivotal moment in its local governance as the city prepares for a mayoral runoff election on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. The race pits incumbent Mayor William E. "Bill" Cooper against challenger Bill Baker, after neither candidate secured a majority in the initial round of voting held on August 26.

First-Round Results

Out of approximately 20,000 registered voters, only 3,920 ballots were cast in the initial election. The results were as follows:

Incumbent William E. "Bill" Cooper (incumbent) received 1903 votes (48.3%). Bill Baker received 1168 votes (29.8%). Lister Reeves had 816 (20.8%) while Richard Moore received 33 votes (.8%).

Since no candidate received more than 50% of the vote, the top two-Cooper and Baker-will face off in a runoff.
