"Beauty from Broken Pieces"

Do you know a lie of that the devil has whispered into my ear before? “God doesn't want your mess. And even if He did, it's beyond repair.”

We often think that God only wants our best…the polished prayers, the victories, the good parts of our story. But the truth is, He invites us to bring Him everything…our mistakes, our shame, our doubts, even the messes that we create ourselves.

The beautiful part is that so many myths and it's so hard to wrap our mind around is that God can take whatever we hand him, good or bad, and shape it into something.

Romans 8:28 reminds us, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

Notice it doesn't say some things or only the good things. It says ALL things. That includes the things that we regret, the failures we'd rather forget, and the heartbreak that we never asked for. The devil wants you to believe that you're beyond repair. But the truth is that our broken pieces don't scare God. Our failures don't intimidate God. So, when we place them in His hands, He can weave them into a story of redemption, beauty, and purpose.

So today my friend, don't hold back the ugly parts of your life. Give Him the bitterness. Give Him the disappointments, the missteps, the pain, the brokenness. Because He's not only strong enough to handle them, He is loving enough to transform them. And I should know because I had nothing but broken things to offer God, and He has made beauty come from piles of broken pieces.
