November 15, 2025 - JACKSONVILLE - The Gamecocks delivered a strong performance in their final home game of the regular season, highlighted by a dramatic Hail Mary touchdown to end the first half. Backup quarterback Gavin Wimsatt connected with Deondre Johnson on a 62-yard pass that bounced off two defenders before landing in Johnson's hands for the score. The play gave Jacksonville State a 22–10 lead going into halftime.
Running back Caden Creel added two rushing touchdowns, and kicker Garrison Rippa contributed with two field goals, including a 32-yarder in the third quarter. Jacksonville State's defense held off a late surge from the Owls, who scored 13 points in the fourth quarter but couldn't close the gap.
With this win, Jacksonville State improved to 7–3 overall and 6–0 in Conference USA play, maintaining their position atop the league standings. Their next matchup is scheduled against Florida International University on November 22 in Miami.
