ALGOP Announces Qualifying Dates for Senate Districts 25 & 26 Special Primary Elections

May 31,2026 - HOOVER, Ala. - The Alabama Republican Party (ALGOP) has officially announced qualifying dates for Republican candidates seeking to run in the 2026 Special Primary Elections for Alabama State Senate Districts 25 and 26.

Candidate qualifying will open Monday, June 1, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. CDT and will close Monday, June 1, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. CDT.

Republican candidates may qualify online at http://www.algop.org or in person at ALGOP Headquarters, located at 3505 Lorna Road, Hoover, AL 35216.

The Special Primary Election for Senate Districts 25 and 26 will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
