Alabama Farmers Federation Endorses Emily Jones for State School Board

MADISON COUNTY, Ala., June 4 - The Alabama Farmers Federation announced its endorsement today of Emily Jones for State School Board, District 8. The district spans rural and suburban communities in portions of DeKalb, Jackson, Limestone and Madison counties.

County Farmers Federation presidents hailed Jones as the best choice for students and families.

"Emily Jones is a staunch conservative who will work in the best interests of our children and their education system," said DeKalb County Farmers Federation President Clint McElmoyl. "She's serious about ensuring our children get the quality education they deserve."

Jackson County Farmers Federation President Phillip Thompson said, "Emily Jones is a strong advocate for education and children. She will see to it that we improve upon the current education system and create more opportunities for our children to excel."

Madison County Farmers Federation President Charles Butler echoed McElmoyl and Thompson.

"Emily Jones is a hard-working conservative who will invest her time ensuring our children get the best education possible," Butler said. "She will go the extra mile to advocate for District 8 and the children and families she will serve."

Jones holds a degree in accounting and business administration from Jacksonville State University. She has spent more than 15 years managing Department of Defense budgets and financial programs where she has overseen tax dollars and ensured fiscal accountability. She also earned professional certifications as a Certified Defense Financial Manager and a Project Management Professional.

Jones founded the first and only Moms for Liberty chapter in Alabama. She has been a leading advocate for parental rights, educational transparency and conservative education policies.

"It is a great honor to have the endorsement of the Alabama Farmers Federation," Jones said. "A strong work ethic, family values and faith are things we share in common, and I will ensure they and all their members along with the people of District 8 are well represented in the education arena."

Jones has an 11-year-old son. They reside in Madison and attend Movement Church.

The Alabama Farmers Federation is the state's largest farm organization with 360,000 member families. It uses a true grassroots approach to select candidates, relying on Alabama FarmPAC endorsements from county Farmers Federation boards of directors for local elections.
