ALGOP Opens Qualifying for RNC Midterm Convention Delegates

HOOVER, Ala. – The Alabama Republican Party (ALGOP) will open qualifying online for individuals seeking to serve as delegates to the Republican National Committee Midterm Convention beginning Tuesday, July 7. The event will be held September 8-10, 2026.

Key qualifying deadlines are as follows:

Congressional District Delegates: Qualifying opens Tuesday, July 7, at 8:30 a.m. and closes Wednesday, July 8, at 5:00 p.m.

At-Large Delegates: Qualifying opens Tuesday, July 7, at 8:30 a.m. and closes Sunday, July 12, at 5:00 p.m.

The qualifying fee is $200 and is non-refundable. Delegates elected to serve will have the fee credited toward convention-related expenses.

Voting will take place in two rounds. Members of each Congressional District will vote online to elect their district delegates and alternates, followed by a statewide online vote to elect At-Large Delegates and Alternates.
